1) I have recently come to believe we labor under the blended boot of Plutocracy and Oligarchy. I think the term "Oligarchy" has been applied across the board, for tyranny (by me for sure)...which it most time is, but it leaves out the wealthy, pulling political strings (as you pointed out), who are the Plutocrats.
The Oligarchy (by definition) could be the nebulous "woke" populous.
2) I'm glad to see you reference Yves Guerin-Serac. As you said, his dictates were not new, during the time he was implementing them, but he is a good example, of the techniques and doctrines, that have been used throughout the ages (at least since we formed organized, hierarchical societies).
I'm not sure if I've shared the following with you or you've come across it yourself, but it will round out your arguments of the subversion, that has always undergirded civil strife, unrest and revolution.
It predates Yves Guerin-Serac's birth by 40 years.
