China’s Army posts “Get ready for war!” message over US visit to Taiwan
.“Get ready for war!” read a message posted by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) 80th Group over the US visit to Taiwan, as reported on Friday, July 29.
China’s Army’s war message over the potential US visit to Taiwan reportedly generated over 300,000 thumbs-up in just 12 hours, creating “high morale among Chinese soldiers” according to Global Times.
The message was posted on China’s social network Weibo, with pictures of the post since circulating on Twitter:
One user posted:
“⚔️”Get ready for war!” Such a message appeared on the official account of the 80th Army of the People’s Liberation Army of China on the Weibo social network.”
The post on China readying for war, comes after Nancy Pelosi, speaker for the United States House of Representatives, has enraged China after talks of a possible US visit to Taiwan, a move that would potentially recognise Taiwan as an independent sovereign state, and not as the Republic of China.
However, many politicians are concerned that now that the news of the hypothetical visit has spread, if the US does not send Pelosi, it will look like the nation has backed down in front of China.
Taiwan on the other hand is in the middle of its annual military preparation for Chinese invasion known as “The Han Kuang Exercise”, which started on Monday, July 25.

Today, on July 29, the DPR Embassy in the Russian Federation hosted a working meeting of the DPR Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Olga Makeeva with the DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Sin Hong Chol.
🤝During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail the possibility of further cooperation in all sectors of the national economy: industry, agriculture, construction, trade, healthcare, education, culture, and others.
✊The DPRK Ambassador, for his part, expressed readiness to provide full support to the DPR government in implementing the agreements reached on bilateral cooperation.
Also, Mr. Sin Hong Chol stressed that after the opening of the borders of the DPRK and the lifting of covid restrictions, relations with the DPR will have great potential in the trade and economic direction and in the field of labor migration. The DPRK is already ready to consider cooperation projects in order to immediately begin their implementation after the opening of the borders. The Ambassador also expressed readiness for close cooperation with the DPR Embassy and personal efforts to promote the development of interstate relations.
🤝In turn, Olga Makeeva expressed her willingness to cooperate in all the indicated areas, invited the DPRK to participate in the organization and work of the international tribunal for Ukrainian and mercenary war criminals, conveyed greetings from the Head of the DPR to the leadership of the DPRK and announced Denis Pushilin's readiness to visit North Korea and hold a meeting with the head of state Kim Jong-un and she also handed Mr. Sin Hong Chol a note to the North Korean Foreign Ministry with a proposal to establish diplomatic relations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
